Welcome
to the website for the Parliamentary Internship Alumni Association
(PIAA)!
In the Fall of 1998, a group of former interns met to discuss
the creation of the alumni organization. Shortly thereafter,
with the help of the British High Commission and the Institute
on Governance, the PIAA was born.

Committee
One of the PIAA's goals is to increase links between
past and present interns. This website is intended to help
build these bridges. Our first task has been to develop and
offer an on-line directory of former interns. We have started
small, but as our Association grows, so too will our website.
One of the PIAA's other major activities has been to resurrect
the annual dinner. This year's big event was held on Tuesday,
September 30th in the West Block of the House of Commons.
The keynote speaker was the Honourable Claire
L'Heureux-Dubé, whose presentation was entitled
"Leadership: It Takes a vision."
If you are a former intern who has not yet joined the Association,
but would like to do so, you can reach us by e-mail : alumni-anciens@pip-psp.org

We at the PIAA are planning on an aggressive outreach programme
in the year to come. We would like at once to reconnect with
former interns, and to get former interns involved in a campaign
to connect with recent graduates who might not have heard
of this wonderful internship opportunity. If you are interested
in being involved in either outreach project, by acting as
either a captain for the group of former interns in your year,
or for your city/region, please contact us via email.
Any suggestions for how to reach out to former interns or
potential future interns are of course welcome.
We also offer an AlumniFinder service to keep you connected. Follow this link to access the AlumniFinder.
