Ceri Au
Born in Pointe-Claire, QC and raised in Ottawa, Ceri received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Modern History from McGill University. During her undergraduate studies she spent a year on exchange at L’Institut d’études politiques de Toulouse in Toulouse, France where she obtained a certificat d’études politiques. Ceri works as a freelance writer and media analyst. Her work has appeared in numerous publications including the Ottawa Citizen, Globe and Mail, Windsor Star, Calgary Herald and Maisonneuve’s MediaScout. In addition, she does voluntary communications work for local charitable organizations. Ceri is currently completing her Master’s in Journalism at Carleton University. Her thesis research pertains to print media coverage of female candidates in the 2006 Canadian federal election. She spent summer 2007 as an intern at TIME magazine in New York City.

Véronique Boivin
Véronique was born and raised in Lac-Saint-Jean, Québec. She graduated in second language teaching (major in English and minor in Spanish) from the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi in 2003. She travelled as well as did multiple immersions to complete her university education. In September 2002, she went to Spain as part of an interuniversity program to take part in a study session. She studied at the University of Alicante in the Valencia region. Back in Quebec, having completed her undergraduate degree, she became a high school teacher and taught for the following three years. Driven by the growing desire to do increase her opportunities, she decided to purse graduate studies. She enrolled in the international relations program at Université Laval and won a scholarship from the Social Science and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). Her thesis will address the North American Agreement on Environmental Cooperation (NAAEC), and will focus on the role of the Commission for Environmental Cooperation. |

Anna Lise Domanski
Anna Lise Domanski grew up in Truro, Nova Scotia. She recieved a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in 2005 from the University of King's College in Halifax, with a combined honours in International Development and Spanish. She worked teaching conversational and business English in Valencia, Venezuela in 2001-2002. She later studied Spanish and Mayan History at the Autonomous University of Campeche in Campeche, Mexico in 2003, and studied Sustainable Development in Cuba at the University of Havana in 2004. Anna Lise is preparing to defend her MA thesis in Social Justice and Equity Studies at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario.

David Gagnon
David Gagnon comes from Quebec City where he completed most of his studies in international relations, political science and immigration at Université Laval and Cégep-François-Xavier Garneau. He spent two semesters abroad, one in Turku (Finland) during his undergrad and one in Washington D.C. during his Masters. His interest in Canadian politics was born ten years ago when he participated in the Katimavik program. This program allowed him to fully experience and appreciate the work of Canadian NGOs. The first-hand experience he gained by Katimavik inspired him to travel to Igloolik (Nunavut) a few years later to spend ten months doing volunteer work for the Inuit community. David was a researcher for the Provincial Interministerial Council of Ontario in Ottawa before completing his Masters and participating in the Parliamentary Internship Programme. |

Delaney Greig
Having grown up in Pelham, Ontario, Delaney Greig studied at the University of Guelph where she completed a B.A.H Major in Political Economy of International Development and Minor in Economics. During university, she volunteered and studied in Burkina Faso, India and Swaziland. Delaney is broadly interested in the interaction and formation of economic, development and environmental policy. She enjoys hiking, canoeing and international cinema. |

Karin Kronstal
Karin Kronstal was born and raised in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. After graduating from Sir John Franklin High School, Karin moved to Montréal to attend McGill University. In 2005, she completed a First Class Joint Honours degree in International Development Studies and Religious Studies. In her spare time, Karin enjoys travelling, cycling and cross-country skiing. |

Christina Lazarova
Christina Lazarova was born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. She completed the International Baccalaureate program at Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf in Montreal, and holds a B.A. (Honours) in Political Studies with a Minor in Economics from Bishop's University. Christina spent a semester at the Institut d'Études Politiques de Lille, France, in 2006. Christina's interests include public policy formulation, environmental issues and political economy. She enjoys hiking, reading, and travelling. |

Julia Macleod
Julia Macleod was born and raised in Kingston, Ontario. She completed her BA Honours in Political Science (through the Scholar’s Electives Program) from the University of Western Ontario in 2007. She spent her third year abroad at the University of St. Andrews, in Scotland, where she studied International Relations. For the past two years Julia has worked as a contract researcher for organizations such as the Canadian Museum of Civilization Corporation, the Rotman School of Business (University of Toronto) and the Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence. She enjoys quantitative research and is particularly interested in the summative evaluation of public policy. |

Julie Maude Normandin
Julie Maude Normandin is completing her Master’s in International Public Administration at École nationale d’administration publique in Montreal. She received her Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of Montreal and completed a specialization in journalism at the Cégep de Jonquière. She has worked as a journalist for both print media (Le Nouvelliste de Trois-Rivière) and television (Radio-Canada). She also taught journalism during a six-month internship, sponsored by Oxfam-Québec, at a human rights newspaper in Morocco. Over the past several years, she has participated in numerous mock parliaments at the National Assembly of Quebec, most notably in the role of Party Leader and Premier. Julie Maude’s academic interests include international affairs, immigration, aboriginal policy and critical infrastructure. |

Andrew Sniderman
Andrew Sniderman co-founded the Washington-based Genocide Intervention Network (GI-Net) to change the way the United States and the international community respond to genocide by creating an active and powerful political constituency. While working for GI-Net, Andrew helped oversee a national lobbying, mobilization and fund-raising effort. In the fall of 2005, Andrew interviewed in Darfur. Andrew was born and raised in Montréal and graduated with a BA (highest honours) in philosophy and political science from Swarthmore College (Philadelphia, PA). Andrew is a 2007-08 Action Canada fellow. |
